Testimonials From JodyJazz Artist Endorsers

"The JodyJazz ESP Baritone is the mouthpiece I've been searching for. It has tremendous
dynamic range, going from a beautiful, warm pianissimo to a gutsy, full bodied roar.
It does all that without losing responsiveness or intonation in any range. I feel confident
I'll be able to handle a wide range of music, from classical sax quartets to big band,
and be totally comfortable in all of them. I've tried a lot of bari sax mouthpieces, and
this is the best one I've found"

"As a saxophonist who doubles a lot, i.e., one saxophone to another, it is ultimately
important to me that my setups play very well together. I had been looking for a very long
time for a Baritone mouthpiece that had that just right mix of power and bite but with
an underlying warmth. Simply put, when I played the JodyJazz ESP, I stopped looking. This
has to be one of the easiest responding, greatest playing Baritone sax mouthpieces I've ever
played on ANY horn. From subtle subtones to that barking bite, it's all there. The timbre
and intonation are extremely even throughout the range of the horn. The workmanship and finishing
quality are evident the moment you first lay eyes on one. I honestly canât say enough positive
things about these mouthpieces. Coming from a musician of Jody's caliber, I am not at all
surprised - fantastic work Jody! Thanks"

"After recently switching to a new horn, the dreaded mouthpiece search started once again. Previously
having played the same setup for 5 year straight, the quest to redefine my sound was driving
me positively insane. During my search, I remembered a fortuitous encounter with Jody and his
wonderful mouthpieces at the last IAJE conference. My gut told me to look once again in his
direction. I followed my gut instinct and it has been the best decision I have made in quite
some time. The ESP 10* baritone sax mouthpiece plays quite easily and produces a full, rich
and powerful sound that is full of colors. With this mouthpiece I am able to comfortably play
4 + octaves on my horn with confidence. It is the best baritone sax mouthpiece I have ever
played, period. Thank you Jody, for helping me redefine my sound."

Testimoianls From JodyJazz Customers
"As many of you know, I'm primarily a baritone sax player and have a pretty big personal collection
of mouthpieces. I can say without hesitation that Jody has finally solved the problems inherent with
the baritone saxophone mouthpiece: the intonation is flawless and and the voicing is unusually even
throughout the range. I found the altissimo to be effortless, and love the fact that the ESP offers
no resistance. It sounds good without the Spoiler insert, although I much prefer the additional cut
and projection that the Spoiler gives. The machine work is flawless, and the mouthpiece feels very
comfortable in the mouth. My personal selection ended up being a .120, gold plated. Thanks, Jody!
You 'da man!"

"Hello Mr. Espina,
I got it!
After your kind letter in which you reccomend an an ESP bari 8 (.120) as
the best match to my current mouthpiece (a baritone rubber Berg Larsen 110),
I tried to contact your italian dealer in Florence. There were different brands
of mouthpieces in metal and rubber: I tried all of those.
And I have to say that your ESP Bari Gold in every different measure sounded
very well. I found and loved the flexibility, great intonation and rich
sound of this mouthpiece; but over all it is easy to play with. I can play
the baritone like a tenor.
So I started looking for a rubber mouthpiece and
I bought a metal one. In fact even the sound is with some characteristics of
a metal mouthpiece, it play so good that I couldn't miss it anymore.
Finally I go it: a bari ESP 9 (130), a bit larger than that one you
reccomennded to me. But I preferred the big sound with the same flexibility.
Thank you again. Without your informative letter and the answers of the 6
questions I never would try and buy your mouthpiece.
Now I am trying some different kind of reeds (but everything sound well on
it, also the worst and wrecked reeds!) to make the sound more warm.
Thanks again, best regards"
